A little bit of cold (...very cold!) weather would not dampen the spirits of our Loyola College community who celebrated St. Ignatius Day in style on Wednesday, 31 July!
July 31 is the feast day of St. Ignatius Loyola, the founder of the Society of Jesus and our College Patron who passed away on this day in the year 1556.
Our annual St. Ignatius Day celebrations include a Mass, our 7km 'Walk for Others' which sees students raise money in the months leading up to the event and then walking 7km around the local streets of Watsonia, and of course the amazing carnival rides, activities and attractions including a number of Staff who participate in our Masked Singer concert!
Most importantly, we are so proud to announce that our 2024 fundraising endeavours have raised over $40,000 which will be donated across our six House charities!
