Students undertaking Food Studies across a range of year levels have recently been involved in a number of different cake baking and decorating projects which have seen close to 200 cakes prepared in the kitchen within the space of just a few days!
Our Year 8’s have been working on their ‘Cupcakes to the Rescue!’ assignment, Year 9’s have been busy building their ‘Shakin’ Planet Cakes’ Birthday Cakes whilst our Year 10 students have been crafting a ‘Christmas in June’ cake design.
Special mention to our Food Technical Assistant - Ms. Ammendola - who has prepared over 40kg of buttercream icing to support our students within their lessons!
Food Studies is offered to students from Year 8 and remains an available elective subject through to VCE - with VET Hospitality also offered from Year 11 for those students seeking a future within the food industry.
