Indonesian Language Success

A huge congratulations to Emily Perizzolo (11/AFVE) who earlier this term was announced as a recipient of the prestigious Indonesian Independence Day Student Scholarship.

As part of her award, Emily received return airfares to Canberra, an invitation to attend Independence Day Ceremonies at the Indonesian Embassy and a one-day cultural workshop and a tour of the Indonesian Cultural Centre.

Emily's outstanding achievement comes off the back of a record year for Loyola College Indonesian students participating in the annual Sayembara Lisan Speaking Competition - with three 1st place finishes and multiple top-3 placings!

Indonesian is one of three languages offered at Loyola College from Year 7 with multiple opportunities for students to immerse themselves in the Indonesian culture across Years 7-12.
